Career day

On the 20^th of June 2025, we hosted our first Career Day. With the new bachelor's degree reform (2024 curriculum), it is a central component of the professional experience module. At the Career Day, following a keynote speech by Jonas Personeni (Swiss Sport Integrity), over 100 bachelor’s students had the opportunity to exchange ideas with invited guests from the professional field in thematic workshops organised by the five departments of the institute and gain insight into professional practice:

• Workshop on sport in schools: Daniel Bühlmann (head of Münsingen Primary School)
• Workshop on sport and performance: Pascal Furgler (Coordinator, Footeco BSC YB)
• Workshop on research at Swiss Athletic: Andri Feldmann (Swiss Athletic)
• Workshop on sports management: Darja Geiser (Communications, BSC YB)
• Workshop on sport and health prevention: Sina Reimann (Project Coordinator, Foundation Idée Sport)

Many thanks to the invited guests from the professional field, the lecturers and assistants from the institute’s departments, the student council and alumni, who all contributed significantly to the success of the event. The next Career Day will take place on 26 June 2026, so save the date.
